About South Texas Scribes

South Texas Scribes began as a group from the Corpus Christi area working on the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) Challenge. The challenge? To write a novel of 50,000 words or more in the month of November. Those of us involved would meet during the month to lend support to each other, encourage each other and commiserate with each other as plots hit dead ends or writer’s block set in. After a few years we began meeting after the month of November to keep up with our love of writing. We now meet the first Saturday of every month at the The Village Cafe in Corpus Christi at 2:00 PM. We can also be found on our Facebook page.

Join with us as we engage in our task of “Connecting writers in the Coastal Bend.”
